Q. How much do your projects cost?

A. Typically, our projects begin at $75,000. That figure covers the kind of high-end, custom landscape design and construction we specialize in: pools, retaining walls, paver patios, lighting, and full outdoor living spaces built to last. Every project starts with a comprehensive, itemized budget that we walk through with you before any work begins, so you know exactly what you are approving and there are no surprise line items partway through. If a project comes in smaller than that starting point, we will tell you honestly rather than trying to make it fit.

Q. What’s your process?

A.   Here are the five steps of our Proven Process, something we follow for every project, in order to deliver great results for homeowners:
1. Consultation
2. Design
3. Pricing Proposal
4. Installation
5. Final Walk Through

We start with a complimentary in-person consultation so we can see your space and hear what you actually want, not just what fits a template. From there our in-house designer builds a plan specific to your property, we put together a transparent, itemized pricing proposal for your approval, our crews handle installation, and we finish with a final walk-through so you can confirm everything was built the way it was designed. Depending on scope, a project can run anywhere from about three weeks to six months from consultation to walk-through.

Q. What sort of projects do you do?

A. We design and install high-end, custom landscapes and outdoor living spaces across the Lower Mainland. That includes:

• Pools
• Retaining walls
• Artificial turf and putting greens
• Landscape lighting
• Paver patios and concrete work
• Irrigation
• Planting and mulch

Most of our clients come to us with a backyard that has outgrown what it currently offers, whether that is a patio too small for how they entertain, a yard that floods every spring, or simply a space that has never had a proper design behind it. Q. Do I really need a landscape design before working with you?

A. Yes. We do not start construction without a professional landscape design, and we have our own in-house designers for exactly that reason. A design is what lets us give you an accurate, itemized price instead of a rough guess, and it is what keeps a big project organized once crews, materials, and subtrades are all onsite at once. It also gives you a clear picture of the finished space before a single shovel goes in the ground, so there are no surprises about scale, layout, or materials once installation starts.

Q. What if I already have a design?

A. That’s great. While we love working from our own in-house designs, we will absolutely work with a design that has already been done by a professional landscape designer. We do have a short list of items we need included in that design so we can put together an accurate price, things like material specifications, dimensions, and grading detail, so we will walk you through what we need at your consultation.

Q. How much does a Landscape Design cost?

A. It varies with the scope of the project. Smaller designs start around $2,000, while large-scale designs can run $10,000 or more. The design fee reflects the amount of planning that goes into a project this size: site grading, drainage, material selection, lighting layout, and everything else our designers need to work out before a crew ever breaks ground. That design fee is separate from the construction cost, and we will always be upfront with you about which is which.

Q. Is my project too small for you?

A. Every company has an ideal client that makes sense for its size, and ours tend to be homeowners planning a substantial, design-led transformation rather than a small patch-and-repair job. Our projects typically run three weeks to six months depending on scope. If a smaller landscaping job comes our way, we are glad to point you toward a smaller, trusted landscaping company in the area rather than leave you without an option.

Q. Do I need a permit for my landscaping project?

A. It depends on what is included in your project and which municipality you are in. Retaining walls above a certain height, pools, decks, and anything that changes drainage or grading on your property typically need a permit from your local municipality, and requirements differ between Coquitlam, Surrey, Langley, and the other Lower Mainland communities we serve. Municipalities that require significant tree removal as part of a project may also require replacement planting. We factor permitting into the design and pricing proposal stages of our process, so this is not something you need to research alone.

Q. What areas do you serve?

A. We specialize in high-end landscape design and construction throughout BC’s Lower Mainland, including Coquitlam, Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Upper Fraser Valley communities like Aggazis and Hope. If you are looking for pool design specifically, we offer that as well.

Q. When is the best time of year to start a landscaping project?

A. Design work and consultations can happen year-round, and starting that process in the fall or winter is often the best way to have your project ready to break ground as soon as spring weather allows. Installation itself tends to run heaviest in spring through early fall, when soil conditions and plant availability are at their best, though the right timing for your project depends on its scope and what is included. We will talk through timing specific to your project at your consultation rather than pushing everyone toward the same calendar.

Q. What happens after installation is complete?

A. New plantings and sod need close attention in the first couple of weeks: consistent watering at the base rather than the leaves, and a watering schedule that eases off gradually as roots establish. We walk you through exactly what your new landscape needs during that first season before we leave the final walk-through. After that, if you so desire, we can onboard you to our landscape maintenance program which covers seasonal lawn care, pruning and trimming, soil enrichment, and irrigation system inspections, so the design we built stays looking the way it did on installation day.
